Dual Certified Quality Management
AS9100 Rev D — Aerospace Quality
Our AS9100D certification demonstrates compliance with the aerospace industry's most rigorous quality management standard. Based on ISO 9001:2015 with additional aerospace-specific requirements, AS9100D governs every aspect of our manufacturing process — from design control and risk management to configuration management and counterfeit parts prevention.
This certification qualifies Thermometrics as an approved supplier to aerospace primes, defense contractors, and Tier 1/2/3 suppliers worldwide. Our registration is maintained through regular surveillance audits by an accredited registrar.
ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management
ISO 9001:2015 is the internationally recognized standard for quality management systems. Our ISO certification covers the design, manufacture, testing, and calibration of temperature sensing devices including RTD sensors, thermocouple assemblies, bearing sensors, thermowells, and flanges.
The standard requires a process-based approach to quality management with emphasis on risk-based thinking, customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, and evidence-based decision making.

Incoming Material Inspection
All raw materials verified against specifications with certificates of conformance, material test reports, and dimensional checks before release to production.
In-Process Inspection
Critical manufacturing operations monitored at defined checkpoints with documented inspection records and traveler sign-offs at each stage.
Calibration & Testing
NIST-traceable calibration using reference standards with documented uncertainty. Every sensor individually tested for resistance, insulation, and accuracy.
Final Acceptance
Comprehensive final inspection including visual, dimensional, and functional verification before packaging and shipment with complete documentation package.
Documentation & Compliance Standards
NIST-Traceable Calibration
All temperature sensors are calibrated using reference standards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Calibration data includes measured values, reference values, deviation, and calculated uncertainty at each test point.
First Article Inspection
First Article Inspection (FAI) performed per AS9102 for new products and after process changes. Complete FAIR packages include Forms 1, 2, and 3 with dimensional data, material certifications, and special process approvals.
AMS 2750 Pyrometry Compliance
Our thermal processing equipment is maintained in compliance with AMS 2750 requirements for pyrometry, including Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS), System Accuracy Tests (SAT), and instrumentation calibration per the standard.
Control Plans & Inspection Records
Documented control plans define inspection criteria, sampling rates, gauging, and acceptance criteria for every product family. Inspection records are maintained as permanent quality records with full traceability.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Action
Formal non-conformance reporting system with root cause analysis, containment actions, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification. NCR data is analyzed for trends to drive preventive improvements.
Continuous Improvement
Systematic continuous improvement program using quality metrics, customer feedback analysis, internal audit findings, and management review outputs to identify and implement improvements across all processes.

Certificate of Conformance
Formal COC documenting that the product meets all specified requirements, including material specifications, dimensional tolerances, and performance criteria per your purchase order.
Calibration Certificates
NIST-traceable calibration certificates with measured data points, reference values, deviations, and statement of calibration uncertainty. Individual certificates per sensor or per lot.
Material Test Reports
Material test reports (MTRs) for all metallic components including sheath material, element wire, and fittings. Chemical composition and mechanical properties documented per applicable ASTM/AMS specifications.
FAI/FAIR Packages
Complete First Article Inspection Report packages per AS9102 including dimensional inspection data, material certifications, special process approvals, and functional test results.
