Aerospace RTD Sensors

Flight-critical RTD assemblies manufactured under our AS9100D quality management system. Full First Article Inspection, FAIR documentation, and NIST-traceable calibration for aerospace and defense temperature measurement applications.

Flight-Critical Temperature Sensing

Thermometrics Corporation has been manufacturing temperature sensors for the aerospace and defense industry since 1965. Our Aerospace RTD sensor line is produced under our AS9100D quality management system, providing the full traceability, documentation, and quality assurance required for flight-critical and mission-critical applications.

Every aerospace RTD assembly undergoes comprehensive quality inspection including dimensional verification, electrical testing, insulation resistance measurement, and NIST-traceable calibration. Full documentation packages including First Article Inspection (FAI), FAIR per AS9102, Certificate of Conformance (COC), and material certifications are available on every order.

  • AS9100D certified quality management system
  • ISO 9001:2015 compliant manufacturing processes
  • Full material traceability from raw stock to finished assembly
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102
  • NIST-traceable calibration with uncertainties stated
  • AOG (Aircraft on Ground) expedited service available

AS9100D Certification

Our quality management system is certified to AS9100D, the international standard for aerospace quality. This certification ensures every sensor meets the rigorous requirements of aerospace OEMs, MROs, and defense contractors including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and their supply chains.

AOG Support

We understand that aircraft groundings cost airlines thousands per hour. Our AOG program provides priority manufacturing and expedited shipping for critical replacement sensors, with same-day or next-day turnaround on standard configurations.

Aerospace Documentation Packages

Every aerospace RTD order can include a comprehensive documentation package tailored to your quality requirements. All documents are provided digitally and in hard copy upon request.

First Article Inspection (FAI)

Complete dimensional and functional verification per AS9102 Rev B. Includes balloon drawings, characteristic accountability, design data review, and raw material certification traceability. Required for first production run of any new part number or after process changes.

Certificate of Conformance (COC)

Formal declaration that each sensor assembly conforms to all specified drawing requirements, material specifications, and quality standards. Includes lot number, serial number (if applicable), date of manufacture, and inspector sign-off.

NIST-Traceable Calibration

Multi-point calibration performed with NIST-traceable reference standards. Calibration certificates include temperature points, measured values, deviations, expanded uncertainty (k=2), and traceability chain. Available from -196°C to +660°C.

Material Certifications

Full material test reports (MTR) and certificates of analysis for all wetted materials including sheath alloy, braze materials, and sensing elements. Chemical composition and mechanical property data traceable to the original mill heat number.

Environmental Qualification Testing

Aerospace RTD sensors can be qualified to customer-specified environmental test requirements. Our engineering team works with your qualification team to define test protocols and success criteria.
