Flight-Critical Precision Since 1965

Thermometrics Corporation has supplied temperature sensing solutions to the aerospace industry for nearly six decades. Our AS9100D certified quality management system ensures every sensor assembly meets the rigorous standards required for flight-critical and mission-critical applications across commercial aviation, military defense, and space exploration programs.

From prototype development through full-rate production, our in-house engineering team works directly with aerospace OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and MRO facilities to design temperature sensor assemblies that withstand the extreme environments encountered in modern aerospace systems — including severe vibration, rapid thermal cycling, high altitude, and corrosive fluid exposure.

AS9100D Quality System

Our quality management system is certified to AS9100 Rev D, the internationally recognized standard for aerospace quality. This includes full risk-based thinking, configuration management, counterfeit parts prevention, and documented first article inspection per AS9102.

NADCAP Considerations

Thermometrics supports NADCAP pyrometry requirements for heat treatment monitoring and can supply sensors that meet NADCAP-accredited facility specifications for calibration and measurement traceability.

Aerospace Application Areas

Our aerospace temperature sensors are deployed across every major aircraft and spacecraft subsystem where accurate, reliable temperature data is critical to safety and performance.

Engine Monitoring

Exhaust gas temperature (EGT), turbine inlet temperature (TIT), and bearing temperature monitoring for turbofan and turboprop engines. Type K and N thermocouples for high-temperature zones; PT100 RTDs for bearing and oil system monitoring. Designed for continuous operation in high-vibration, high-temperature environments up to 1100°C.

Environmental Control Systems

Cabin air, bleed air, and pack temperature monitoring for ECS units. Fast-response RTD sensors with response times under 2 seconds for precise temperature regulation. Miniature assemblies that fit space-constrained ECS ducting with MIL-DTL-38999 connectors for reliable signal transmission.

Fuel Systems

Fuel temperature monitoring for tanks, lines, and heat exchangers. Explosion-proof and intrinsically safe designs prevent ignition risk. Teflon-insulated leads and stainless steel sheaths resist jet fuel corrosion. Temperature range from -65°C (cold soak at altitude) to +150°C for fuel return lines.

Hydraulic Systems

Hydraulic fluid temperature monitoring for flight control actuators, landing gear, and utility systems. Spring-loaded RTD probes for thermowell installations in hydraulic reservoirs and return lines. Operating range -54°C to +135°C with pressure ratings to 5,000 PSI.

Cryogenic Systems

Liquid oxygen (LOX), liquid nitrogen (LN2), and liquid hydrogen (LH2) temperature measurement for launch vehicle propulsion and spacecraft life support. Specialized cryogenic RTD assemblies rated to -196°C with hermetically sealed housings and radiation-resistant insulation for space applications.

Avionics & Electronics

Printed circuit board (PCB) and avionics bay temperature monitoring. Miniature surface-mount RTD elements and thermocouple probes for electronic enclosure thermal management. High-accuracy Class A sensors for precise temperature compensation in navigation, communication, and flight control electronics.
