About Thermometrics

Founded in 1965, Thermometrics Corporation has spent over six decades engineering precision temperature sensing solutions for the world's most demanding industries — from aerospace and defense to energy and pharmaceuticals.

Six Decades of Precision Temperature Measurement

Thermometrics Corporation was founded in 1965 in Northridge, California, with a straightforward mission: to manufacture the most accurate, reliable temperature sensors available. What began as a small operation serving local industrial clients has grown into a trusted supplier for aerospace primes, defense contractors, energy companies, and pharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide.

From our manufacturing facility on Parthenia Street in Northridge, we design and produce a comprehensive range of temperature sensing products — including RTD sensors, thermocouple assemblies, bearing sensors, thermowells, and flanges — all backed by our dual AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certifications.

Over 60 years later, our commitment remains the same: deliver precision-engineered temperature sensors with the quality, documentation, and responsiveness that our customers demand.

In-House Manufacturing Expertise

Vacuum Brazing

Our in-house vacuum brazing capabilities enable us to create hermetically sealed sensor assemblies that withstand extreme temperatures and corrosive environments. This process is essential for aerospace and high-reliability applications where leak-tight joints are critical.

TIG/GTAW Welding

Precision TIG (GTAW) welding for thermocouple sheath closures, transition joints, and sensor housing assemblies. Our certified welders produce clean, consistent welds that maintain sensor integrity under thermal cycling and mechanical stress.

Mineral-Insulated Assembly

We manufacture mineral-insulated (MI) sensor assemblies using magnesium oxide insulation compacted within metal sheaths. MI construction provides superior response time, vibration resistance, and long-term stability for demanding industrial applications.

CNC Machining

In-house CNC turning and milling for thermowell bodies, connection heads, flanges, and custom fittings. Tight tolerance machining ensures proper fit and seal in critical process connections.

NIST-Traceable Calibration

Our calibration laboratory uses NIST-traceable reference standards and temperature baths to verify sensor accuracy across the full operating range. Calibration data and certificates are provided with every shipment.

Testing & Inspection

Comprehensive testing includes resistance measurement, insulation resistance testing, dielectric strength verification, and dimensional inspection. Every sensor is individually tested before shipment.
